The effects of chelate complexes of biogenic metals and carnitine on some blood biochemical parametrs in chickens

The article presents a study on the effect of chelate complexes of biogenic metals in combination with L-carnitine on metabolic processes and productivity in chickens based on the blood biochemical parameters. It is found that feeding of Lcarnitine alone or in combination with chelate complexes of copper and cobalt with methionine to the broiler chickens causes positive influence on the chicks’ body weight, quantity of blood albumin, α- and γ-globulins and activity of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase

Development of quality of life questionnaire for surgical patients

Nowadays, a disease-specific method of quality of life assessment in surgical patients is being developed. It is necessary for post-surgery outcome assessment. The method of quality of life assessment and prognosis in surgical patients is proposed in this paper. Approbation and validation of the method are given in the article. Ozone therapy in treatment and prevention of gingivitis during pregnancy

It is known that pregnant women are at risk for development of dental diseases. Development of dental diseases is associated with immune system involvement. Generally, pathological processes in pregnancy are accompanied by marked hypertrophic henomena. This article describes the examination techniques and dental identification in pregnant women, as well as the study results regarding higher efficiency of medical treatment with ozone therapy as compared to the traditional treatment of hypertrophic gingivitis in pregnant women.

Modern methods for determination of the lower face height in case of its reduction in patients with partial edentia (literature review)

Restoration of the lower face height is one of the first challenges faced by dentists in reconstructive prosthetic dentistry. The aim of this study was to find the most appropriate modern methods for determination of the lower face height in patients with partial edentia. With respect to this issue the authors analyzed domestic and foreign literature. Analysis shows that currently
there is no single reliable and accurate method for determination of the lower face height. Optimal results can be achieved only using a combination of static and functional methods.
